The man was there for 35 long years in the pool of Bethesda.His desire was to jump when the angel stirs the water and get healed.Gradually the need was a SOMEONE who would help him jump.The deeper need was Healing but he was looking for that SOMEONE...
There was a man who was crippled from birth..He gave up on Himself and was asking alms and living outisde the gate called BEAUTIFUL in the Temple...His deeper need was Healing..but this man substituted Deeper need for alms.
Mary and Martha was shocked because jesus didnt turn up...Lazarus was dead and gone...their need was substituted by their reasonming"Lord if u were here ,y brother would have been alive"
Child of God..What is that deeper need you have and the good news is Christ wont substitute anything for that!!!
The man at the pool of bethesda needed a SOMEONE to put him..But Christ came before Him..not for carrying Him and putting Him in the pool but asking Him to" Rise up,take up your bed and WALK".
The man at the temple needed money..but The name of Jesus provided Him healing....A far greater joy that money couldnt give,..Peter Said"Siver and Gold have i none..but What i have I give to you..In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth Rise up and walk"
Jesus didnt console mary and martha by justifying why he was Late..He shouted LAZARUS COME OUT!!!!!!!!
